Transnational Expert Group

TRANSNATIONAL EXPERT GROUP

A Transnational Expert Group (TEG) will be formed by prominent experts from each partner country, who will advise the Local Working Groups on the technical, financial, social, and environmental aspects of the Clean Energy Transition. TEG will facilitate the deployment of targeted investments provided by the European Structural and nvestment Funds (ESIF) and IFIs along with being available to nearby municipalities grouped into territorial clusters for further replication and capitalisation.

Vision: Europe should be the place where sustainability is second nature, carbon emissions have been cut to safe levels and fuel poverty has been replaced by energy justice.

Mission: Share knowledge and practical experience to empower people to change the way they think and act about energy.

Activities Provide advice on the implementation of innovative energy projects, training, and support to local authorities to act and undertake research and policy analysis. TEG helps individuals and communities meet their real needs for environmentally friendly and affordable energy measures by using appropriate financing instruments.

Contact TEG to receive:

Toolkits and support in assessing and benchmarking carbon reduction and fuel poverty performance.
Strategy development, including Integrated Climate and Energy Plans (ICEP), renewable energy strategies and carbon reduction strategies.
Planning policy support, specifically with respect to sustainable energy and renewable energy policy.
Technical consulting support, including buildings audits, detailed technology feasibility studies, data analysis, GIS heat mapping and associated local analysis.
