From November 18 to 20, LOCAL GoGREEN proudly participated in the Semana Internacional de la Electrificaciรณn y la Descarbonizaciรณn (International Week of Electrification and Decarbonization), one of Spainโs leading events focused on energyefficiency and decarbonization, which attracted more than 100,000 attendees in Madrid. Ponferrada Hosts 5th Project Meeting and First Regional Assembly of the Transnational Municipal Network
The City of Ponferrada, Spain, hosted the 5th project meeting and the First Regional Assembly of the Transnational Municipal Network (TMN) on 10 – 11 November 2025. The two-day event brought together municipal representatives from across Europe to share experiences, challenges, and opportunities in the transition to greener cities. The first day was focused on operational issues and presentation of the action plans of the pilot municipalities for their clean energy transition. LOCAL GoGREEN training was successfully held in Albstadt, Germany. The event was hosted by project partner JER Dr. Jakob Energy Research GmbH & Co. KG. LOCAL GoGREEN Training Brings Together Representatives from Dryanovo and Tryavna
The experts from ABERON, successfully held the LOCAL GoGREEN training in Dryanovo, bringing together municipal representatives and stakeholders from Dryoanovo and the cluster municipality Tyravna. The event was held on 03.04.2025 at Park Hotel Dryanovo. The agenda focused on the general approach to Integrated Climate and Energy Plans (ICEPs), renewable energy generation, building energy efficiency, and available financing sources. The sessions stimulated lively discussions, enabling participants to exchange ideas for projects supporting the clean energy transition. Youth and Sustainability: Shaping the Future of Our Cities
On Monday, March 31, at the Domenico Savio School in Potenza (Italy), a team from the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (CNR-IMAA), including researchers Monica Salvia and Filomena Pietrapertosa, led a workshop with third-year students on โClimate Change and Citiesโ. The session provided an opportunity to discuss key climate change challenges and promote more sustainable and responsible behaviors. The workshop delved into successful case studies and models of energy renovation projects from various European countries. Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of the current European regulations, incentives, and funding mechanisms that support energy-efficient renovations across the continent. Second meeting with Albstadt as part of the LOCAL GoGREEN project
On August 1st, the second in-person LOCAL GoGREEN meeting took place at the City of Albstadt, Germany. During the meeting the goals for the clean energy transition (CET) of the municipality and further steps in the collaboration with LOCAL GoGREEN ๐ฑ were presented. The meeting was attended by representatives of the City Council, the municipal utilities and our partner dr. jakob energy research GmbH & Co.KG. Intense discussions gave more insights about what is happening in Albstadt with regards on CET and what will be necessary to be implemented in the future. First meeting with Dryanovo municipality as part of the LOCAL GoGREEN project
On July 10, 2024, our partner ABERON OOD. held a meeting with stakeholders in Dryanovo municipality as part of the LOCAL GoGREEN project. The purpose of the meeting was to present the project in front of citizens and stakeholders and inform them about its mission, goals and progress. Two renowned energy experts – Stefan Abadzhiev and Elenko Bozhkov, were present to answer any questions and concerns citizens might have.
