Foundations of Integrated Climate and Energy Planning (ICEP)
Module I introduces the purpose, structure, and policy context of Integrated Climate and Energy Plans (ICEPs). It presents the fundamentals of ICEPs, their role in supporting local implementation of EU climate objectives, and their alignment with key policy frameworks such as SECAPs, NECPs, the European Green Deal, Fit for 55, and the EU Climate Law. The module also covers the main planning steps, governance and stakeholder engagement processes, the five thematic pillars of the LOCAL GoGREEN project, and practical insights from local best-practice examples.
